Toothache

Clean any irritating debris from your mouth by rinsing with warm water or some corsodyl mouthwash; if possible, you can use a waterpik to help flush out any food debris. Painkillers like ibuprofen may also help relieve pain. If your toothache is so severe that you are unable to sleep or bite down, are developing a swelling in the gum or face, or if over-the-counter medications are not helping to alleviate pain, then you should seek immediate treatment.

Broken Teeth or Partially Dislodged Teeth

Rinse gently and keep any pieces that you can. Stop any bleeding by holding clean gauze over any wound. It may be possible to place an over the counter temporary filling. Seek immediate treatment.

Dislodged Teeth or knocked out teeth

You need to be seen as soon as possible. Keep the tooth clean and do not let it dry put or scrub it. Keep it in milk or tucked in the cheek if possible.

Dislodged Crown or decemented crown

This is a very common emergency dentist scenario. Keep the tooth clean and safe, preferably in a plastic pouch.

Loose or Lost Fillings

Try to keep your tooth clean. If possible you can place an over the counter temporary filling. Contact us to replace your dental filling.

All of our emergency dentists are highly ethical and professional, and very experienced with dealing with all manner of dental emergency situations.

A dental emergency can occur at any time, even the middle of the night. The sooner you are seen the quicker your toothache, broken filling or dental abcess can be treated.
